Rebecca Romijn, an American actor who was previously a model, is most well-known for her performance as Mystique, the character from the very first three-part episode of the American comic book series X-Men. Romijn was also in another Marvel film about superheroescalled "The Punisher. The film featured her in the character of Joan. Romijn began her modelling career at 16. Her modeling career has taken off since then. She's appeared in major magazines such as Christian Dior Sports Illustrated and Victoria's Secret. She spent a decade modeling for major fashion houses, and later quit that line of work in order to pursue her acting career.
